This week on Sports Paws, Nick Boyd and Ben Rickevicius take to the desk to talk all things Quinnipiac sports news. They will recap the softball team’s weekend series against the Manhattan Jaspers and will be joined on the desk by softball beat reporter Olivia Gruber to talk about the team’s season so far. They also will talk about how the men’s lacrosse team did in their road game against nationally ranked Sacred Heart.

Nick Boyd, Sports Paws Executive Producer
Nick is entering his third year at Quinnipiac and Q30TV. He is a 3+1 journalism major from Poughkeepsie, New York and is excited to take on the challenge of executive producing Sports Paws this year! Boyd has covered women’s soccer and basketball for Q30 Sports. Additionally, he was an associate producer on the Sports Paws staff last year. Outside of Q30, Boyd interned with NBC Sports in Stamford, Connecticut over the summer in the streaming operations department. He helped with the 2024 Paris Olympics. He’s also worked in minor league baseball on the Hudson Valley Renegades broadcast production crew and was the photography manager at The Quinnipiac Bobcats Sports Network last year.
Ben Rickevicius, Men’s Basketball Beat Reporter
Ben Rickevicius is a graduate Sports Journalism student from East Granby, CT. He is a Men’s Basketball Beat Reporter. Ben served as Sports Director last year and was an Executive Producer of Sports Paws during the 2023-24 academic year. He has also beat reported field hockey, women’s basketball and baseball.
