The Q30 Entertainment Department was on the scene throughout the Student Programming Board’s Wake the Giant concert. Students waited outside the TD Bank Sports Center for doors to open at 6 p.m.
Students were patted down at the door. SPB members handed out glow sticks. Reporter Neliana Ferraro used the iPhone application, Periscope, to broadcast live from the scene.
Jason Derulo started off the set with “In My Head” and followed up with “Whatcha Say.” His third song was “Ridin Solo.”
Students took note of the Quinnipiac jersey Derulo was wearing.

Later in the night, Derulo called up volunteers for a twerking competition. One student blew the crowd away by twerking while doing the splits. Watch for an interview later this week with another one of the twerkers, Jillian Geiger.
