The month of February is rapidly approaching guys, which means the return of The Walking Dead is imminent. Our favorite zombie-apocalypse show that deals more about the monsters within our favorite characters is set to continue in the middle of season five on February 8. For the fans who haven’t gotten a chance to watch season five yet, I won’t be giving away any spoilers for that season. I will let you know what to expect for the first eight episodes of the season 5, as well as my predictions for the rest of the season.

**WARNING- Season four spoilers ahead**

When we left off at the end of season four, the group has been split up and are all traveling to Terminus, which is believed to provide sanctuary for all who are alive. Rick, Carl, Michonne, and Daryl arrive at Terminus and are given a tour. Rick sees some of Maggie and Glenn’s gear and pulls out a gun asks where his friends are. The inhabitants of Terminus corner the group and bring them to a boxcar and lock them in it. In the boxcar, Rick and his group encounter Glenn, Maggie, Sasha, Bob, Tara, Abraham, Eugene, and Rosita, all being held as prisoners. The season ends with Rick telling the group, “They’re screwing with the wrong people.”

Before watching the first half of season 5, I believed that The Walking Dead could do no wrong. I was very wrong. With the way that season 4 ended, I expected season five to go one direction and it went the complete opposite. It wasn’t one of the worst seasons, but it wasn’t the best. But a lot of things happen in season five that people need to pay attention to:

  1. My advice that I always tell people that are starting to get into the series is to not get attached to any of the characters because they will get killed off. Whether it was Hershel, Sophia, T-Dog, etc. they will die so don’t get attached.
  2. A character from the earlier seasons makes a few appearances and could be actively searching for the group.
  3. The group adds some members as well as losses some.
  4. A character emerges from their shell.
  5. We discover the truth about Terminus.’
  6. A liar puts the group at risk.

For those who are already all caught up and ready for the season to resume, I have a few predictions:

  1. There will be two major deaths that breaks the group up in the end.
  2. The character that is searching for the group finds them and joins.
  3. Judith somehow draws a major herd of walkers to the group like she always does with her crying.

In the end, I believe that the last eight episodes of season five will be fantastic. The Walking Dead never disappoints for long, so I have faith that the plot will pick up and have all of us on the edge of our seats again wishing that Sunday evenings would come quicker in the week.
