Fire at Aspen Glen housing complex in Hamden

Fire+at+Aspen+Glen+housing+complex+in+Hamden

A fire broke out in Building 3 of the Aspen Glen housing complex in Hamden, Conn. The apartments are homes to several Quinnipiac students.

Hamden firefighters say the fire was reported near midnight at 308 Aspen Glen Drive, and that there was a partial collapse of the exterior structure of the building.

Three were hospitalized following the fire, and their conditions are unknown as of this time.

Quinnipiac Residential Life offered temporary housing to those who were displaced by the fire.

Q30 Television associate producer Bianca Dux provided Q30 News with exclusive photos of the fire.

 

Hamden fire officials said that as of midnight Tuesday, the fire was under control.

Q30 News Director Giovanni Mio was on the scene for Q30 News to capture raw footage of the scene.

Quinnipiac student Steve Pflug captured this raw video for Q30 News, showing the smoke pillowing into the sky.

WSFB is reporting that three people were taken to the hospital following the fire in Building 3.

The Quinnipiac Chronicle captured a photo displaying the damage.
