For the first time since March 2016, Quinnipiac women’s basketball battled conference foe Iona. Like in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference championship game, Iona got the best of Quinnipiac hitting timely shots and playing stingy defense. Saturday afternoon, the Gaels defended its home court by winning 58-44. Marina Lizarazu and Alexia Lewis led the way for the hosts combining for 46 points.
